About Jumpstart

Jumpstart was founded back in 2008 and is one of the largest R&D tax credit specialists in the UK.

The company founders realised there was a gap in the market when assessing and claiming for R&D tax credits. Although the availability of tax credits has always been made available the actual uptake of these claims, or the actual level of these claims against what could be claimed, was not always actuate - in particular for the SME technology and Science based organisations.

The key, as Jumpstart identified, was not to approach the project claims from an accountancy perspective but to put the technology or science in the centre of the claim. Therefore, jumpstart was formed and has moved from strength to strength achieving a 98.6% success rate on all their claims.

The company now has approximately 20 employees, based in impressive offices in the west end of Edinburgh and has an ambitious growth plan in place to double the company in size by 2014.
